Seasonal Themes and Related Book Ideas for Preschoolers
Emma at Charming the Birds from the Trees has some great ideas for a year’s worth of themes to do with preschoolers in A Year of Seasonal Themes for the Learning Basket.
In the post she outlines her theme for each month and then if you follow this link you can see some of the different books and activities she has used in her learning baskets. She includes themes such as Owls, Autumn, Tomie DePaola, Apples, Shirley Hughes, Butterflies and Bugs, Beatrix Potter, Watermelon and Sunflowers. I noticed many favorite books among her lists including selections from one of Caroline’s all-time favorites, Eloise Wilkin Stories (Little Golden Book Treasury)
